I Am A Work In Progress

Weekly Word With Kerry Faucher
Do you ever find yourself feeling frustrated or discouraged when things don't go your way?
It’s hard to stay encouraged when you don’t see results. I find this true, especially in my own life. At times I find myself really frustrated when I see things aren't going my way... We all do! Most times I think of myself as being a failure when I don't measure up to my expectations, I wish that I was further along in my life!
But Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that God has a plan for each and everyone of us!
Everybody's purpose is different but we were all created to do One thing - we were created to serve God, bring glory to his name and to share the gospel! Do not feel discouraged when you see someone else is walking in their purpose but instead seek God and ask him to show you what you purpose is!
Philippians 1:6 says "Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." This verse really encouraged me as it said that God has started a work in me. I am a work in progress! He has not completed the work yet but he has already started. This means that he has not given up on me. Therefore, I should not feel frustrated or angry when I am not where I want to be in my life. God is with me every step of the way and he is with you as well!
Sometimes, God puts us in certain situations to test our progress! Do you think that you are fully ready to be completed by God?
We need to be joyful despite the tough outcomes in love because true joy comes from Jesus Christ!
We need to be confident enough to to step out of our comfort zones and certain situations in order to receive the blessing that God has for us in our lives.
We all are a work in progress! God has not given up on us yet, so we should not give up on ourselves.
Say this with me : " I may not be perfect, but I’m learning and growing each day!"
Positive Reminder Of The Week
When we are going through trying times, let us try to find joy in the midst of our trying situations because no season lasts forever!
Let us remember that through those storms and hardships we are completely transformed into the people God wants us to be.
Some days we may feel pretty useless or we may feel like failures but remember that God did not create us by mistake. So instead of being mad or feeling discouraged, let us choose to be thankful that God has not given up on us and he is with us each and every day!

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your love, joy and peace. Thank you for not giving up on me even when I gave up on myself.
You created me for a reason and Lord I intend to walk in my purpose! Please help me to let go of every distraction in my life that is preventing you from working on my life.
